The Race Committee managed to get two races off in a dying southerly. In both races clear air and maintaining boatspeed through tacks and jibes was key. Wing on wing didn’t seem to work so some boats attempted the reach to reach method, while Mistral used their patented “furl the jib” and point at the mark technique. It worked for them as they came from behind to win the second race.
