Kidship Sailing Instructors (multiple positions)
Seasonal jobs as instructors for the KidShip sailing program (May to August). Provide sailing instruction to children ages 5-15, with different levels of sailing instruction for different ages and experiences. General maintenance on boats and around the marina when classes are not in session. Ideal candidates will have:
- Sailing experience
- A good rapport with children
- Patience
- A congenial personality
- Ability to pass a background check
- Safe Boaters’ Certification
- First Aid/CPR Certification (certification will be offered through the school in May)
- Lifeguard Certification (preferred, but not required)
Adult/Family Sailing Instructors (multiple positions)
Seasonal job (April to October) as an instructor for adult/family sailing programs. Provide sailing instruction primarily to adults on 24’ keelboats without engines or on sailboats with auxiliary power, with the appropriate instructor certification and/or US Coastguard licenses and certifications. General maintenance on boats and around the marina when classes are not in session. Ideal candidates will have:
- Sailing experience
- Patience
- A congenial personality
- Safe Boaters’ Certification (Required)
- First Aid/CPR Certification (certification will be offered through the school in May)
- ASA Sailing Instructor Certification (preferred, but not required)
- US Coast Guard Licensed Captain (preferred, but not required)
