MNR 4-6-26

We had a beautiful night out on the water for our first Monday Night Race of the Season. The wind shifted right 30 degrees and then left 90 degrees meaning the RC had his hands full moving marks. The takeaways for the evening was to keep the boat speed up, think about where your turns are going to end so you don’t stuff your boat into the “no sail” zone and not to over steer during tacks. We saw some rust on the sailors as the tacked through 120 degrees, rather than the 90/95 degrees the Rainbows are capable of.

We tried out a new race tracking software and we had some glitches getting boats on board. I’m publishing the instructions below. But here is the race track:
