SNR races on 9-21-25 were interesting! There was a lot of close action causing some boats to stall. Remember that you can’t steer a boat with no momentum so you need to keep a neutral tiller until you gain momentum. The wind shifted right which causing the right side of the course to be favored. On the starting line, only tack to port if you have space to do so. Speaking of space….
Ian taught Caleb how to make space at the starting line by heading down on a boat to leeward to steal their wind and then head up a windward boat to push them off the line.
