Every Wednesday, from April 26th to August 30th, the Annapolis Yacht Club hosts racing from 6pm to ~ 7:30pm. We are entering our Caraluna 245s by Tartan in the Handicap Fleet. Dock time is 4:30 pm so we can get an hour and a half of practice in before our start. The summer is split into 3 series of six races each: April 26 – May 31st, June 7th – July 19th, and July 26th – August 31st.

This a racing class. You will learn handling of an asymmetric spinnaker, race tactics, working as a team, and advanced sail trim as we compete against other boats from the Annapolis area in the ORC fleet. This will be at least 3 hours on the water each night. It is both educational and a ton of fun.
I would like to get a commitment for a six race series from a core group I can keep together. I understand life happens. I will open up the booking to people who would like to go on a single race the week before to replace people who have to go to weddings, vacations and other absences.
Cancelation policy: If we get out there, practice, start and then the wind dies and AYC cancels the race. That’s sailboat racing, sorry no refunds. Same thing if a halyard goes up the rig or we rip the spinnaker in practice. We will have races cancelled. I try to let everyone know as soon as I do. AYC sometimes waits until almost 6 to make that call. You will be able to carry that credit forward, which is why there is no 18-race option.
Prices:
One Race: $80
Six Races** $420 ($70 a race)
Twelve Races** $780 ($65 a race)
