SNR 6-7-26

“The pessimist complains about the wind; the optimist expects it to change; the realist adjusts the sails”–William Arthur Ward

The realists also change course!

We had hoped to sail to C91 but changed the course to C1 when the breeze began to fade. Even so, it was a beautiful evening to be out on the water in Annapolis.

We were reminded that the current can be a significant factor, even when we’re not expecting it to be. Recent increased flows from the Susquehanna River likely contributed to stronger-than-anticipated current in the Bay. As Ian often points out, the tankers in the shipping channel are a great indicator of which way the current is flowing.

There was some confusion about the course, so please make sure you understand the course before leaving the dock.
