SNR 4-26-26

We enjoyed three 30-minute races, giving everyone time to work on both helm and sail trim. Trim is often overlooked, but it’s essential for harnessing the wind and sailing your best course. If a sail is eased too much when heading upwind, the boat won’t be able to sail close-hauled and will need extra tacks to reach the mark.

It was especially fun to watch Ian sailing downwind—he and Caleb were really playing the puffs. By bearing off in the gusts to ride them longer, he turned a last-place start into a race win!
