The Privacy Policy of Scuttlebutt LLC doing business as Annapolis Sailing School (including Annapolis Powerboat School, Bembe Beach Events, Keelboat Club, and KidShip) is committed to maintaining robust privacy protections for our users. Our Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand how we collect, use and safeguard the information you provide to us through communications that include phone calls, e-mails, our website, application, registration, and rental forms. The Company reserves the right to change this policy at any time and you should periodically check the Site and this privacy policy for updates.

For the purpose of this policy, “Service(s)” refers to the Company’s service(s) which can be accessed via our website at annapolissailing.com, over the phone with our staff, or when arriving for a course and camp offerings, club application,  or boat rental in which users can get information about or register for our course and camp offerings, boat rentals, or property rental for events. The terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to the Company. “You” refers to you, as a user of our offered services. Upon providing your Personal Information you consent to our collection, storage, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. 

I. INFORMATION COLLECTED 

We collect ”Non-Personal Information” and “Personal Information.” Non-Personal Information includes information that cannot be used to personally identify you, such as anonymous usage data, general demographic information we may collect, referring/exit pages, and URLs, platform types, preferences you submit and preferences that are generated based on the data you submit and number of clicks. Personal information includes any information provided by you when you request further information or register for our course and camp offerings, boat rentals, or property rental for events.

We use third party vendors for the on-line registration system, credit card processing, and e-mail communications. In general, the use of your Personal Information you provide to us is limited to communicating with you and registering and paying for courses and rentals. For example, we use emails to contact users in response to questions, solicit feedback, and provide information about promotional offers. Other personal information you provide to us is only used for program registration, rental information, and payment for course, camp, program, rental, or club membership. The Annapolis Sailing School does not share, rent, or sell any personal information of our customers with other companies or people unless we are required to respond to a legal process (i.e., court order, subpoena) or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims or when we believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person or as otherwise required by law. 

The school gathers personal information when you register for courses, rent boats, or purchase coupons for special offers that allow us to provide you a service. Your information will only be used to provide products or services you’ve requested when we have your permission to contact you when you have registered for a course, you have purchased a coupon for a special offer, or you have requested information from us. 

In general, we use Non-Personal Information (i.e., browser, IP address, location, pages viewed, and date and time) gathered from our website to help us improve the Service and customize the user experience on our website. We also aggregate Non-Personal Information in order to track trends and analyze patterns on the Site. This Privacy Policy does not limit in any way our use or disclosure of Non-Personal Information and we reserve the right to use and disclose such Non-Personal Information to our partners, advertisers and other third parties at our discretion.

You have the right at any time to prevent us from contacting you for marketing purposes. When we send a promotional communication to a user, the user can opt out of further promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each promotional email.
